Halloween party music to keep your guests dancing!
So, you're throwing a Halloween party and need to put together a totally rocking playlist to keep your guests entertained. You can't play just the typical party music; you need to keep your guests in the full-on spooked out spirit!
Thriller- Michael Jackson: This is the obvious choice. Not only is Michael Jackson the most popular Halloween costume this year, but his music means more to many of us this time around. Thriller is the ultimate spooky song, and you can force all of your guests dressed like him to do the Thriller dance!
Monster Mash- Bobby Pickett: It's another pretty obvious, but absolutely necessary choice for the Halloween playlist. There's really no other appropriate time to listen to this song than on Halloween, so you may as well get some use out of it!
Addams Family theme song: All your guests are guaranteed to know this one and youll have everyone snapping along.
Purple People Eater- Sheb Wooley: Another song you can't really be playing year-round that everyone appreciates on Halloween.
Disturbia- Rihanna: You don't want your entire playlist to be filled with creepy old school tunes, so try to pull some current, but still relevant, pop music into it as well. "Distrubia" is a good one because it's got just the right amount of fright to it.
I Put a Spell on You- The Animals: You could essentially play any one of the many versions of this song, but we especially like The Animals' version. We also like that this song allows you to pay a little tribute to all the witches at your party.
Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me- U2: From the Batman Forever soundtrack. And for all the romantics at your party. You know, because there's nothing more romantic than a song with lyrics like those. At least on Halloween, anyway.
The Devil Went Down to Georgia- Charlie Daniels Band: Because you know there will be at least a few devils at your party.
