New on DVD shelves this weekend is a whole bevy of fantastic flicks that will have you itching to come out of the cold and cuddle on the couch. Here's our quick look at the latest Harry Potter film, Meryl Streep's Julie and Julia, and Johnny Depp's turn as John Dillinger in Public Enemies.
The biggest release this week is definitely Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film in the fantasy series. In this second-to-last installment, Harry finds himself preparing for a final confrontation with the evil Voldemort, while also being distracted by a new love interest -- the younger sister of his best friend, Ron Weasley.
If you've had your fill of fantasy, check out the investigative documentary The Cove. Directed by longtime National Geographic photographer Louie Psihoyos, The Cove is an undercover exposé of the horrifying slaughter of dolphins in Taji, Japan.
Also out this week is Julie and Julia. Based on a memoir written by Julie Powell, the film stars Meryl Streep as cooking legend Julia Child and Amy Adams as the young woman attempting to complete Child's entire cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking, in order.
In the action movie aisle, Johnny Depp takes a run as infamous gangster John Dillinger in Public Enemies. The film follows the charismatic tommy-gunner on his rise to power in 1930s Chicago, and on his numerous battles with rival gangs and the police force.
