Fergie’s manicure at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in Paris this Thursday, must have been a nod to the upcoming Twilight movie, or why else would someone sport such vampish claws? Oh, wait. That's because she always does.

The Black Eyed Peas songstress is quite well known for her sometimes-eccentric fashion choices. From sexy Girl Scout get-ups, to full on armored body suits on The E.N.D tour, Fergie has never been shy to experiment. But this week it seems that she has gone more Gaga than Elephunk.

Crazy digits aside, this isn’t the first time that Fergire has caused a little bit of a storm over her appearance. Just recently, following a performance on American Idol, plastic surgery rumors were rife. 'I did two major drastic things, which is hair to the side - it was the first time - and the big neon lip,' she said. 'I wanted to try something different, and all of a sudden it was this big backlash.

Toning down the neon at amfAR, Fergie wore a black Louis Vuitton ensemble, scarlet red lips, and eschewed the Marc Jacobs accessories for Marc Jacobs himself. While Fergie looked like a femme fatale -- poised to rip the heart of any man in two -- mid-way through the night, she actually changed her outfit, donning a polka dot dress creation of Jacobs and keeping the dagger talons.

According to some fashionistas, or perhaps just one, Fergie’s Freddy Krueger nails are actually bang on trend and emanate the runways of Spring 2011 Fashion Week. While I will be staying far, far, away from this trend, Fergie has been playing with it for some time now.

At this Gay Paree event, the Peas singer opted for a more “natural” color, however, she has been spotted with ultra-tapered, or just plain crazy, manicures on more than one occasion. Check out some other pictures of her past choices.
