Trying It Out for Spa Week

Do you remember when we mentioned Spa Week sneaking up on us? Well, the time is almost here for us to start getting $50 treatments at spas around the States. While you'll have to wait until the week of April 12th to 18th to go to your spa of choice, booking is happening now. Oh, and there's also a Spa Week contest waiting for you to enter, in which you could win $1,000 worth of spa treatments of your choice. We know how much you love freebies!

If you're going to be headed to the spa this spring, it would make sense to go in April, when you'll be scoring a nice deal for a special treatment. I took a look at what Spa Week offered for various locations, and treatments included the Titan Eye Tightening Treatment in Denver (originally priced at $500), a 90-minute Traditional Thai Massage in Los Angeles, and Vajazzling sessions at several listed spas.

For me, though, deep tissue is one of my favorite treatments. When you work in an office, you regularly "feel the burn," but not the good kind. Since my shoulders are often tight and my back pretty kinked up, I went to a Florida location of Massage Envy, which will be participating in Spa Week.

Haven't had a deep tissue massage yet? You're missing out: mine was excellent. Deep tissue releases toxins by loosening tight muscles, and oxygen and blood starts to flow freely once again in these areas. I had a chance to lie back and let the knots get kneaded out of my back, legs, and arms for 90 minutes, which was a long-overdue treat. Since the atmosphere was super soothing, I must admit I want to win the Spa Week $1,000 Giveaway as well.
