There's a tantalizingly ridiculous new scandal on the loose, and it's about 23-year-old  Barbie-bot Heidi Montag. Either she's using her plastic surgery trauma to milk the press a little more (totally conceivable), or she and Spencer are going to start having big issues. Heidi Montag is in love with her plastic surgeon.

Our pals at Celebitchy have the full scoop. All this according to Star, one of the many tabloids earning street creds after the Enquirer ripped open the Tiger Woods/Rachel Uchitel affair story weeks before it exploded. A source says this to Star about Heidi Montag's obsession with her 49-year-old cosmetic mastermind: "Heidi has known Dr. Ryan for years, but lately she's totally crushing on him and comes up with any excuse she can to stop by his office. She makes appointments for the most ridiculous things and stays as long as possible..."

The source adds, "Heidi has found a lot to be attracted to in Dr. Ryan." Another source jumps in: "Let's put it this way: Spencer is fast food. Dr. Ryan is the Ritz. Spencer has to scrounge around for money, and as for his reputation? Well, you know. Dr. Ryan is already filthy rich and is considered a genuinely caring person." Apparently Dr. Ryan is known about Hollywood for his children's charity work, including the Bony Pony Ranch Foundation (cough) for inner-city kids.

Dr. Drew predicted that Heidi's primary relationship would begin to "destabilize" after all this surgery -- meaning her relationship with Spencer, 26, is about to topple.
