HollyNotes: Alyssa Weds, Celine Is Pregnant, and Dancing With the Stars Is Back!

It's been another busy week in la la land... Celine is pregnant, Alyssa is married, and apparently some VH1 reality contestant is on the run in Canada. It's time for some HollyNotes!

Britney Spears returned to The Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday Night where she presented the show's Top 10 list. Sitting pretty in a black bikini with a flower in her hair (but maybe not enough lip gloss), Spears revealed the "Top Ten Ways the Country Would Be Different if Britney Spears Were President." I don't know about you, but I'm DEFINITELY crossing my fingers that this is part of a huge comeback. A crowd-pleasing world tour, a quick stop at Letterman.... now all she needs to do is marry Justin Timberlake and we're good to go!

Since I'm not the biggest fan of VH1's reality show line-up (yes, I realize I'm in the minority), I wasn't super familiar with Megan Wants to Marry a Millionaire. Well as everyone now knows, Ryan Jenkins, one of the contestants on the show vying for Megan's heart, is wanted for his wife's murder. Jenkins and Jasmine Fiore were newlyweds - their Las Vegas wedding was just this past March. Sadly, Fiore was found dead last weekend and he is now wanted for her murder. Police say he's found his way to Canada and they are hoping to get him soon. In the meantime, VH1 has pulled the remaining episodes from its lineup.

This week's huge baby news was the announcement of Celine Dion's pregnancy. She shared her big news earlier this week and also revealed that she was impregnated with an embryo that had been frozen for eight years. She and hubby Rene-Charles are reportedly ecstatic that the in vitro procedure worked and are excited to hear the baby's heartbeat. This will be the couple's second child. My heart will go on for her and her family. (I crack myself up.)

Robin Wright Penn filed for divorce earlier this week

So, here's the deal. I know I'm not alone but I love Robin Wright Penn and have since The Princess Bride was released over 20 years ago (yikes, I'm showing my age a bit here!) I have followed her movies since then and was pleased when she and the uber-talented Sean Penn got together. It just seemed to work somehow. So I was terribly disappointed to hear the pair was breaking up. Mrs. Penn filed for divorce earlier this week. Now, all you Penn fans out there will remember that we've been here before. Mr. Penn filed for legal separation not too long ago but withdrew soon after. I'm totally hoping for a reconciliation though it seems unlikely. Fingers crossed!

In happy marriage news, actress Alyssa Milano's wedding to Hollywood agent David Bugliari took place this past weekend at his family's estate in New Jersey. She looked stunning in a custom-made Vera Wang gown (oh, the perks of being famous!) Several celebrity friends attended the nuptials including Bradley Cooper who arrived sans new fling Renee Zelwegger (she had some promoting to do for her new film.)

-Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart had a tough week after a personal video featuring the pair and former Miss U.S. Teen Kari Ann Peniche involved in some questionable activities was leaked to the internet. Oopsies...

- Could it be? Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush were spotted together earlier this week in New Orleans. I'm 100% hoping they get back together. I think it might have been her new blonde locks that snagged his attention!

- For some unknown reason I really like Linsday Lohan and hope she turns it around. Just felt like I should share....

- Actor Jason Schwartzman married designer Brady Cunningham at their home in Los Angeles on July 11 but just confirmed the nuptials this week. Brady is a lucky girl!

- The 16 contestants for the upcoming ninth season of Dancing With the Stars were announced earlier this week. My faves? I'm the most excited about Tom Delay, Kathy Ireland, Chuck Liddell, and Clarissa Explains It All alum Melissa Joan Hart.

One final thought for this week's Hollynotes: I'm a big fan of Michelle Obama's short shorts. She rocked them!
