What the heck is going on in Hollywood this week? First Kate Winslet announced the end of her 7-year marriage to Sam Mendes. Then, news broke that Sandra Bullock's husband cheated on her while she was away filming The Blind Side. Overall, not a great week for Best Actress Oscar winners, huh?

Winslet and Mendes released a statement on Monday confirming their split. As a huge, huge fan of Winslet's, I was sad for her. Breaking up is never fun and she's already been through one divorce. It was good to see her down in Mexico having some fun sailing around in a hot bikini. Later in the week, it was speculated the split might be related to some improper behavior between Mendes and another actress, Rebecca Hall. Apparently, Mendes and Hall have worked together several times over the past few years in film and stage projects-and things might have gotten a little cozy between the two. It's only speculation so I'm refraining from making any judgment, but it's never fun when these types of rumors start.

On Wednesday morning, another bombshell dropped: Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock. Apparently, In Touch magazine called Bullock's publicist on Monday morning to let her know they'd be running a story about James having an affair with a tattoo model. Though Sandra's team dismissed the story at first, they soon realized it had some merit when the model revealed her proof. It didn't take long for Bullock to leave--she packed up and left later that same day.

The model, Michelle McGee, claimed she carried on an affair with James for 11 months. McGee's been pretty detailed in her recollection of her time with James, revealing the biker told her his marriage was a fake. Yikes. She doesn't really seem embarrassed or ashamed of her actions; in fact, she appears pretty interested in telling her story to everyone.

For his part, James released a statement on Thursday claiming that though he brought this on himself and is incredibly sorry, much of what's been reported is false. It will be interesting to see what is true and what isn't.

You know, Jesse James always came across as a very genuine guy-and very in love Bullock. This news is very surprising-and I hope they work it out. James was photographed with his wedding ring on early on Thursday so who knows what will happen?

Hollywood Happenings

- Tiger Woods announced his return to golf on Wednesday. He's going to play in the Masters in April. Coincidentally, one of his former mistresses picked the same day to publish boatloads of the texts Tiger sent her over the past year, many of which were sexual in nature. And how about the news that a manufacturer came out with a line of Tiger-inspired sex toys, that are now being recalled. Not great timing for the golf great...

- It's official: Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner are dating. I actually don't have whole lot to say about this pair. I was intrigued that she attended the Alice in Wonderland premiere with her ex-husband but I found out later he's just producing her next album. It would've been kinda neat if they'd reconciled.

- Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are expecting baby number two! Will these kids have the best sense of humor in the world or what? Big congrats to the funny couple.

- Glee returns in mere weeks and I cannot wait. I was pretty excited about the all-Madonna show but just heard the news that there will be an all-Lady Gaga episode this season too! I frigging LOVE this show! Bad news to hear that Lady Gaga's ex is suing her for $30.5M!

- On Wednesday night, Lacey Brown was the first top 12 finalist to go home on American Idol. I'm guessing no one was all that surprised. (Is that mean?)
