Hot Dog! Trojan's Giving Away Vibrators From Carts in NYC
Manhattan Will Be -- Wait For It -- Buzzing With Excitement
Be careful what you walk away with when getting a hot dog lunch from a New York City food cart Wednesday and Thursday. Because what looks like your usual hot dog stand might just be dispensing something far more … exciting.
Yeah, we're talking about vibrators, and the sexually-obsessed (well, they are, but it's okay, 'cuz it's their business) folks at Trojan are handing out 10,000 free vibrators to the citizens of Gotham on Wednesday and Thursday.

Doling out their sex toys from purple "Pleasure Carts" with "Getcha vibes here!" painted on the sides, Trojan workers will put Tri-Phoria and Pulse brand vibrators in the hands of, we're guessing, giggling New Yorkers throughout the day, including stops in Midtown Manhattan, the East Village and the Financial District.
The idea behind the giveaway, which Trojan calls the largest-ever giveaway of its kind: to make vibrators (or "sexual enhancement devices," as the New York Times so nerdily calls them) something people discuss openly, and more importantly, buy openly, as the Trojan products are currently sold at mainstream retailers like CVS and Walmart.

"Research from The Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University found that 53 percent of women and 45 percent of men have used a vibrator in their lifetime, indicating that vibrators have officially entered the mainstream," Trojan's Vice President of Marketing, Bruce Weiss, said.
"We're always looking for ways to advance this effort by fostering an open dialogue about sexual health and creating unique moments that get people 'buzzing' about sex and pleasure."
Sorry Bruce, we already used that "buzzing" line.

For the specific locations of the NYC Pleasure Carts, check out a Trojan press release, which also touts how "discreet" the Pulse model is.
Discreet, unless you're receiving it from a large purple cart in the middle of New York City, of course.
