Is Bridget Moynahan Happy for Tom and Gisele?
New Baby Statement Points to "Yes"
Hmmm. Bridget Moynahan shocked and surprised with her new statement about Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's new baby boy, but methinks there was something amiss about her statement released to the press. Let's take a look at what Bridget had to say.
After Gisele Bundchen gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday, Bridget released the following statement:
"I wish [Tom and Gisele] the best with their baby," the actress tells PEOPLE. "I'm sure my son will enjoy having a half-sibling. I ask the press to respect our privacy while we are welcoming this new addition to our extended family."
Well, part of me sees it as mildly irked, and the other just sees Bridget trying to do the classy thing while making it clear that she's not overjoyed. I mean, it's not like she said that she's "thrilled" with the news, and "can't wait to meet the baby." In many ways, that probably would've been worse than tossing in the legally respectable and honest, but still odd, "half-sibling," and then adding in the request for privacy.
Do you believe that Bridget has been fielding an intense number of calls since Tom and Gisele's baby was born? I'd like to be a fly on the wall to check out what's been going on in the Moynahan household since Jack's birth 2 years ago. Bridget's probably having flashbacks to two years ago when she had Brady's baby.
Do you find Bridget's commentary appropriate, or do you think there's attitude in there?
