Is It a Shower or Washing Machine? It's Both!
"Washit" Combines Shower and Washing Machine in One
If you're ever looking for multitasking short-cuts, this one's for you.
Check out the "Washit," the first shower and washing machine combo.
You wash yourself -- while it washes your clothes!
As if getting two things done at once wasn't exciting enough, the Washit saves water by using your shower leftovers to do a load of laundry.

That's right, your gray water that is senselessly being wasted down the drain can now be put to good use.
Simply load your clothes, select the cycle, and step in the shower.
Your gray water shower run-off goes to good use, running a load of laundry -- AND drying it too.
The team is even looking to take the Washit to public areas, like airports and gyms, where users could get in a shower and give their clothes a wash at the same time.
How does Washit work? A pump system uses the water run-off from your shower, which is filtered prior to reaching the washing machine. The unit has a heater as well.

The team that created the shower/washer combination noted, "Washit is a product that changes our daily routines. It is responsible to our most precious resource: water. With Washit, washing clothes in piles will become a thing of the past. Every time that user wants to take a shower, it will be an opportunity to wash a few pieces of clothes without using any extra water."
