As we mentioned earlier today, Jennifer Love Hewitt is rumored to be engaged to Jamie Kennedy, after breaking it off with her previous flame, Ross McCall, in January. Does anyone smell a rebound?

According to the rumors, Jamie Kennedy was in the middle of a comedy routine when he asked Jennifer Love Hewitt to join him on stage at The Laugh Factory. After JLH sang a tune or two for the audience, someone shouted "Marry her!" so Jamie Kennedy proposed, sans ring.

Jennifer Love Hewitt quickly agreed and everyone burst into applause. . . doesn't this story sound like something someone would've spilled earlier? Plus, I'm not so sure if proposing impromptu-style, without a ring, is a good way to go.
