Is Russell Brand Funny?

Russell Brand's MTV presentation at the VMAs was, by a general consensus, rather sucky. Lemondrop took to looking at Brand's book, My Booky Wook, and examined it from the drugs and sex angle. Does it really hold up to expectations, and is Russell Brand even humorous?

While Russell Brand covered the "drugs" section of the book rather well, Lemondrop claims that "In a book with the subtitle A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Stand-Up, you need to bring the funny."

Conclusion? Mini-fail. The humor might be thanks to humorous circumstance and less thanks to actual wit, they claim, and the shining incident in the intentionally-racy memoir is one in which Russell Brand is left nude in the street with only a pink umbrella as cover, and has to seek refuge in a gay bar while calling a locksmith. Ouch.
