King is clothing line's first openly transgender model

Isis King, 25, the breakout cast member from the eleventh cycle of America's Next Top Model (who also returned for Cycle 17), is now the subject of a controversial new ad campaign for American Apparel.

For the campaign, the transgender model/fashion designer wears t-shirts emblazoned with slogans that suport Gay Pride Month, which will see 15% of proceeds go to GLAAD, as reported by The Huffington Post.

King had sexual reassignment surgery back in 2009, after Tyra Banks personally funded the procedure for the ANTP alum.
