Isla Fisher is a 'Desperado,' Anna Faris Joins 'Yogi Bear'

A Fisher and Faris film frenzy.

Two of Hollywood's hottest young starlets have signed on for upcoming projects. Observe and Report's Anna Faris will star alongside comedian Dan Aykoyd in an adaptation of Yogi Bear, while Shopaholic Isla Fisher will make a turn as a Desperado.

In the latest half live-action, half animated feature, Faris and Aykroyd will bring back the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon Yogi Bear. The Warner Bros. project will star Faris as a nature documentarian who is on the tracks of the goofy bear (voiced by Aykroyd) and his little sidekick, Boo Boo (possibly Justin Timberlake!?).

Faris has been making a name for herself in the animated department lately, lending her voice to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

Isla Fisher's new role in Desperados finds her as a young woman who sends a nasty email to an ex-lover she hasn't spoke to in a while, only to find that he's actually in a coma in Mexico. Now she and her fiends must race across the border in order to intercept the letter before he gets it.

Producers are already describing the film as a female version of The Hangover, tequila-style.
