It's Official: Jessica Simpson IS Pregnant Again
Simspon Tweeted the News of Her New Pregnancy
As with the first time around, Jessica Simpson announced her new pregnancy via social media. The first time, she Tweeted a photo of her dressed as a mummy and said "announcement." This time, she posted the above photo of her daughter Maxwell sitting atop a sand drawn sign reading "Big Sis."
As we reported last month, tongues have been wagging for a while that the erstwhile popstar was again with child -- just seven months after having given birth to her first baby, Maxwell Drew Johnson.
How does this news of a new baby on the way sit with Weight Watchers (which forked over a boatload of cash so that America could watch Simpson lose the 70 lbs. she gained her first time around)?
“There have been no changes to our business agreement with Jessica,” a spokesman for the weight loss titans told ABCNews.com. “Jessica’s successful weight loss prior to becoming pregnant will be featured in Weight Watchers’ new ‘Expect Amazing’ advertising campaign, including a spot with her sharing the happy news.”
The commercial, which will air through the winter, features Simpson showing off her 50 lb. weight loss.
Dieting is not a great idea when you're trying to make a baby from scratch so, as the Weight Watchers spokesperson explained, Simpson "will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy. After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program.”
Smart move.
