However less than five months later, Van Der Beek married Kelly Brook, and the pair welcomed their first child this past weekend! How did James Van Der Beek celebrate? "Had the blessing of becoming a father over the weekend... Couldn't come close to describing this bliss even if I had 140 million characters," baby-crazy James Van Der Beek tweeted over the weekend to his 38,000 followers. The 33-year-old actor continued, "Olivia Van Der Beek, born 9/25. I apologize in advance for any obnoxiously precious new-dad tweets that may follow. I'm under her spell." And on Sunday, new dad Van Der Beek had some fun with two of his loves -- baby Olivia, and football: "If I watch football w/ my daughter now, she'll like the sounds of the NFL & want to watch it w/ me when she's older #momdoesntthinkso" [sic].

Ha! People.com notes that Van Der Beek celebrated his recent wedding with Kelly Book in much the same way, tweeting on August 1, 2010 after the Van Der Beeks were married in Tel Aviv, Israel: "The woman I love did me the honor of became my wife today... I look forward to earning her for the rest of my life."
