Bye, bye, long hair! PacificCoastNews.com

Wow! What a change

Are you shocked at Janet Jackson's new hair style? I couldn't believe her new cropped 'do, but maybe that's just me. Can she rock it, or do you think she made a huge mistake? I keep checking her pic to examine her portrait, and I'm on the fence every time!

Janet Jackson's busy promoting her film Why Did I Get Married Too?, but she definitely surprised us with her new look.

"Is it for a new film? Is she taking styling tips from Jermaine, or did she simply grow tired of taking care of her long locks?" E! News mused about her hair.

We're not sure, but it does look delicious for summer heat--and for traveling! I think that Janet Jackson's hair works with her facial features quite nicely, although the look itself is rather severe at first glance. Eh, I'm still on the fence.

PEOPLE magazine seems to feel all right about the look, which you can see here, writing "And though the new look is a far cry from the natural curls and shoulder-length styles that she's been rocking recently, we aren't opposed to the singer's new low-maintenance style."

Celebitchy was also wondering about her new look. "So, did Janet Jackson chop off her hair as some kind of dramatic fashion statement, or was her hair just over-processed and she needed a clean slate? Or has it been short for a while and she's been wearing wigs?" they wondered.

One thing's certain: we're full of questions about this new look! We at LimeLife ask you: what do you think of Janet Jackson's hair? Is it yum, yuck, or maybe?

I don't see the problem. Sometimes women want the freedom from weaves and glue and everything else that goes with extensions. While they are beautiful when done right, they are extremely expensive, time consuming and you become a slave to it. Also they can be damaging after years of wear, and your hair can become thin and sparse permanently. Starting over and cutting it all off is sometimes the only way to salvage and reclaim your hair.
