Momoa Is Sheltering His Kids From The Barbarism

Millions will flock to theaters to watch Jason Momoa in Conan The Barbarian this August. Some will look forward to the action-packed storyline and fight-scenes; while others will look forward to seeing Momoa without his shirt on (count me in the latter bunch). Momoa’s biggest fans however, his son and daughter, will not be seeing Daddy in action on the big screen. His kids, btw, are also Lisa Bonet's.

Speaking to reporters at San Diego’s Comic-Con, Momoa revealed that his kids, aged two and four, will “never see it till they’re 19. They don’t need to see those parts of Daddy!”

While Momoa did allow his children to view the trailer for his upcoming film, it was “not the restricted one,” he emphasized, which is off limits to them. But, being a chip off the old block, Momoa may have a hard time keeping his toddler son from joining the Conan frenzy.

According to Momoa, his son Nakoa-Wolf, already has a fascination with all kinds of medieval fantasy paraphernalia. “My son loves swords and shields and dragons,” the 6ft 5 star told reporters at a press event for the film, “so he loves the Conan stuff … he just grabs sticks and [makes swords].”

The anticipated Conan blockbuster is actually a remake of the 1982 movie, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.  While, Momoa recently confessed to Access Hollywood that he had never seen the original production, filling Schwarzenegger’s skirt was no easy task -- even for a seasoned warrior -- as Mamoa admitted to enduring a grueling 6-hour daily exercise regimen to play the iconic action hero.

You can check out a Vanity Fair interview with Momoa below and see Conan The Barbarian (in all his glory) when the movie hits the box office August 19th.
