Jay Leno Is America's Favorite

And Conan is nowhere to be found.

I had some reservations about the Jay Leno deal. But maybe NBC knew what it was doing, giving Jay that 10pm primetime spot so he could continue doing his show. It seems America loves it some Jay.

In the annual Harris Poll, which asks Americans to name their favorite TV personality, Jay Leno came in #1.

Here's the complete top 10:

3. Ellen DeGeneres
4. Oprah Winfrey
5. David Letterman
6. Jon Stewart
7. Charlie Sheen
8. Steve Carell
9. Stephen Colbert
10. Mark Harmon

I have to say, there's something about this list that strikes me as odd. It's a bizarre mash-up of actors and hosts and an interesting ranking.

Hugh Laurie is bigger than Oprah? TV is the house that Opi built, Doc. And Mark Harmon is America's 10th favorite TV personality? Is Mark Harmon even on TV?

We demand a recount. A list without Brody Jenner is no kind of list at all!

I still cannot believe this. First of all, Jay Leno sucks. My grandma is super into him, but she is also super into watching shows about cats. Second, who knew that people were so into Hugh Laurie? And Charlie Sheen?

Okay first off, this list is a little bizar to say the least, but when you think about how much each individual person is on tv, it's sorta almost reasonable. With all the stations rerunning episodes of tv series and having marathons every other weekend, it's hard for people to not start like actors from drama series more than Oprah or David Letterman. & that's kind of a low blow on Mark Hamron right there, because he is almost on tv every single night, sometimes for more than 2 hours even. And according to the Nielsen Top Cable TV Show Ratings, people actually watch the reruns of NCIS, and now when new episodes air, the series is pulling its biggest audiences ever. So that right there, answers your question about how he rounded of the list at the number 10 spot.
