Jay Leno's Premiere Show With Kanye West

Jay gets the tears flowing

Did you tune in to Jay Leno's premiere prime-time talk show last night? We love that he coincidentally had Kanye West scheduled to perform with Jay-Z and Rihanna. After everything that went down on the VMAs, we're sure Kanye didn't hurt Leno's first show ratings! And yes, Kanye talked to him. And "cried."

OK, so maybe Kanye West does feel really bad for what he did to Taylor Swift. Or maybe he's just freaking out because everyone hates him now and thinks he's the biggest jerk ever. But he definitely stole the show last night on Leno. While he was scheduled to appear on the show to perform "Run This Town" with Jay-Z and Rihanna, Leno decided to take some time out to ask Kanye why he did what he did.

And Kanye cried. Or pretended to anyway. We're not really sure. Jay asks Kanye how his mom would have felt about what he'd done and that's when his eyes seem to fill up with tears. He says he wants to improve in his life. And we hope he's serious about that.

Aside from Kanye, though, we actually really enjoyed Jay Leno's new show! It's pretty similar to his old show, minus the desk. Jay and his guests sit next to each other in chairs without that old news desk. We like it!

Also on Jay's first show were Jerry Seinfeld and a surprise video appearance from Oprah. We thought Jay was right on the funny throughout the show and hope he can keep it up in the coming shows!
