Jennifer Connelly Puts Family First

Jennifer Connelly sounds a lot more down-to-earth than "I'm like you" Reese Witherspoon! While most of Hollywood seems to put their personal lives on the back burner for a good role, she's not sacrificing her family life for fame. Here's what she had to say.

Jennifer Connelly has admitted that work does not come first for her, and that she's in no rush to get going in Hollywood because of her young family. As she finishes up What's Wrong with Virginia?, she said that she's perfectly happy to stay at home and raise her two sons, Kai and Stellan.

"The biggest thing for me is wanting my kids to grow up safely and have happy lives," she said. "To me that's enough. The family is the most important thing to me. I'm very blessed. I have gorgeous, healthy, funny kids and a good husband."

"Becoming a mother has made all the difference in terms of learning to take responsibility for my life. Parenthood changed the way I do everything," Jennifer admitted. Way to step up to the plate!

Jennifer also said that both of her children wanted to become marine biologists at one point, and that her son Stellan had previously said that he wanted to be an actor. Unlike many a Hollywood mom, perhaps she'll be more supportive of that--she just wants them to be happy, after all! A lot of celebrities have reservations about their children entering the Tinsel Town scene.

Jennifer sounds like she has everything figured out! I'm a little jealous.
