Jennifer Garner is Not a Hippie Mom

Jennifer Garner has revealed that she cleans the toilets at her daughter Violet's preschool when she is not posing on the red carpet. The 37-year-old mother-of-two says that she gets her hands dirty when she and husband Ben Affleck stay in his hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

"I fell hard for this place," the actress said. "At this point, I know all the mums at the playground. Honestly, I fit right in. "I've never been one to paint myself up Hollywood-style - I'm just not good at that. I don't have a healthy dose of that kind of vanity - although I wish I did, because then you know how to be cute when you need to be cute. "On the other hand, I'm not as good at the whole hippie mum thing as the mums I've met here [in Cambridge], although I do scrub the potty at Violet's cooperative prep-school." Garner shoots down the myth that she is an action-type superhero like the secret agent she played in Alias. "It always makes me laugh when people think of me as 'action' because it's just so not me," she says. "When I hear that, I'm like 'Wow - we really do only know what we know about someone.' "To them, I say: 'Great, go ahead, knock yourself out.' They don't know that all I wanted to do in college was Shakespeare."
