Jennifer Lopez to Get Her Own Reality Show?
Another singing competition?
Jennifer Lopez has proved she has what it takes to judge a reality singing show. In fact, she's proved it so well that she's shopping around her own reality singing competition. What does that mean for her future on American Idol?
We're currently smack-dab in the middle of Jennifer Lopez's first season of judging on American Idol. And we're already starting to worry that she won't be returning for another. Why? Well, it seems that Jennifer Lopez has her own idea for a reality singing competition and she's working with hubby Marc Anthony to get this show off the ground.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer Lopez is teaming up with American Idol's Simon Fuller for this new series that will have Jen and Marc "touring Latin America and searching for the best undiscovered musical talent." Right now, they're calling the show Que Viva and are shopping around for a network to take it on.
.
But what does this mean for Jennifer Lopez's future on American Idol? She's only signed on for one season and it sounds like she has tons of opportunities coming her way. Well, Entertainment Weekly doesn't think we have reason to worry and I have a feeling they're right. After all, why would Simon Fuller be helping Jennifer launch a new show if it meant he would lose her on Idol? Plus, they point out that even Randy Jackson has another reality show, America's Best Dance Crew.
And don't you kind of think Jennifer Lopez owes a lot to American Idol? After all, she was fading into history before she accepted this gig and became huge again. In case you're wondering, Steven Tyler signed a multi-season contract, so he'll definitely be back on Idolagain.
Would you watch a new reality show from Jennifer Lopez? I bet it would be super fun to see her and Marc Anthony on-screen together!
