Jennifer Love Hewitt's Breakup Explained

Romance had run its course

At first, we didn't believe it. Because, you know, Jamie Kennedy had just explained how happy he was the Jennifer Love Hewitt was playing a stripper in an upcoming Lifetime movie. But it's true; Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have broken up. And now, their split is being explained.

Relationships end all the time and it sounds like J-Love and and Jamie Kennedy's is no different. It's just funny because there's been so much speculation lately about a possible engagement. Not to mention, Jennifer has a relationship book coming out. And now their relationship is over!

A source close to the couple is saying there was no big drama behind the end of the relationship and that it simply petered out. They say, "It wasn't contentious... It had kind of just run its course... They just sort of looked at each other and said, 'We like each other and we make each other laugh, but this isn't for the long-term.'" Aww, that's actually one of  the saddest kinds of breakups, we think.

The source also says the couples' crazy busy lives didn't help things: "She's working constantly, and Jamie's working on the show and touring [with his stand-up comedy act]... It just isn't conducive to a relationship."

Jennifer's book comes out next week and we can't wait to see what advice it gives!
