'Jennifer's Body,' 'Informant!' Hit Theaters
Movie Mayhem.
In theaters this weekend we find a man-eating starlet, a pathological liar and a freak storm that rains meatballs. If any of that sounds like a good time, check out our quick guide to new movies opening near you.
Jennifer's Body
When a popular high school cheerleader (Megan Fox) is gruesomely sacrificed by a rock band looking to make it famous, she gets posessed by a demon and goes on a man-seducing, man-hunting rampage. There will be enough blood, guts and boobs in this thing to satisfy teenage boys for at least a week.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
Based on the best-selling children's novel, Cloudy follows a brainy weather girl (voiced by Anna Faris) and a crazy inventor (Bill Hader) who must figure out why it's started raining food instead of water. Also features the voices of Adam Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T and James Caan.
Love Happens
The only place Jennifer Aniston ever seems to find love is in romantic comedies. Well, lucky her, because this time she plays a florist who's sworn off men, only to be swooped off her feet by a self-help guru (Aaron Eckhart).
Informant!
The exclamation point is there for a reason: director Steven Soderbergh wants you to know how crazy the true story of Mark Whitacre is. Played by Matt Damon, Whitacre is an executive and pathological liar who exposed a giant price-fixing scandal all while running his own shady extortion business behind the scenes. The film follows Whitacre as he tries to balance his work, his lies and his role as an FBI informant.
