'Jersey Shore' Gets a Second Season
You're not really surprised, are you?
While it really comes as no surprise, people seem to have very mixed feelings about the fact that Jersey Shore is being renewed for a second season. With the same cast. Will you continue watching these guidos and guidettes?
It seems like people either love or hate MTV's Jersey Shore. But even the show's biggest fans are acknowledging that the same thing week after week is getting a little bit old. So, I'm actually quite surprised MTV is coming back with the show for a second season, with the same exact cast. At least according to Vinny Guadagino they are. He says, "They want us to do another season."
I think it would make a lot more sense for MTV to play Jersey Shore like a Real World, and bring in a new cast each season. How much more can these guidos and guidettes do (or should we say, fight). Sure, they do it with The Hills, but honestly? The Hills cast has a lot more going on in their lives than the cast of the Jersey Shore. And that's just sad.
Obviously the Jersey Shore cast doesn't want this fame to go away any time soon. They're majorly banking on it. While attending the after party for Youth in Revolt, the girls wanted Vinny to come to another club with him and he said he couldn't "go out and make unpaid appearances." Want to know how much these cast members are making for appearances? Check it out:
Snooki- $7,500
DJ Pauly D- $7,500
Ronnie and Sammi (together)- $3,000
Vinny- $3,500
The entire cast together- $30,000
Kind of makes you sad doesn't it? And we don't even know what The Situation is making! Oh, and I'm sure Snooki is still holding out for her own show!
