Jesse Eisenberg of 'Social Network' Not A Member of Facebook
Not for him... or the director!
Jesse Eisenberg of The Social Network doesn't use Facebook--and neither does the director of the film, David Fincher! The two were at a special Q&A in New York when they revealed that information to the crowd, plus more about the movie based on Facebook's creator, David Zuckerberg.
Mark Fincher asked the crowd how many people used Facebook, and nearly every person in the room raised their hands. The next part is classic...
"Eisenberg, however, admitted he doesn't use it, and conceded that asking whether someone uses Facebook these days is like asking if they use the telephone," PopEater reported.
The telephone! Snort, not quite. I know a lot of people who have recently deleted their profiles either because of work compromises, or because the thrill of the site is gone. Do you remember when you could only become a member with a college email address? It's crazy to think about.
Mark Zuckerberg was detailed in several publications this year, and his personality has come under fire. Is he really that bad? Well, Jesse Eisenberg will defend him, although he's never met him.
"I thought of it as an actor and acting in a scene. The fact that it was about a real person, we've already thought about and dealt with," Eisenberg commented. "I genuinely felt and still do that everything I do as my character is explainable. That's what I was hired to do."
Do you know anyone who has deleted their Facebook profile in recent years?
