Jesse James' Memoir: He Misses Baby Louis
Do you buy Jesse James' soft side?
Jesse James' book went on sale Tuesday morning, positioned just in time for TV interviews that will raise mega-ratings during May sweeps...but will Jesse bring enough drama? So far everything we're hearing about "American Outlaw" is actually kind of -- dare we say -- endearing?
We reported early Tuesday morning on the reports that Sandra Bullock has been turning to longtime pal and one-time co-star Keanu Reeves as she braces herself for buzz surrounding Jesse James' book. So far, though, this tell-all is only telling more of the same: Jesse suffers from severely low self-esteem ("I always felt out of place my whole life," Jesse says. "I never felt successful, never felt I deserved anything") and is working on "becoming a better person." (Pray tell, would that include your engagement to the freakish Kat Von D, Jesse?)

But what does kind of shock us is how seriously Jesse takes parenting, and how sore he remains over the fact that he won't get to father the baby boy he and Sandra adopted together in late 2009. Jesse James claims his main priority these days is raising his three eldest children, whom he has to two different mothers. James says "making sure [my] kids get good grades and are happy and healthy," is what he's most focused on; and, yes, he really let himself down with the baby Louis fiasco. Why does Jesse believe Sandra made the giant announcement about Louis after Jesse's sex scandal hit headlines in early spring of 2010? "Talking about Louis almost seemed too intimate," Jesse says. But, he told "People" in an interview, "He is so sweet and I miss him."
