Jessica Alba Gets Ruffly at Venice Film Festival

She works the ruffles!

Jessica Alba is all about the ruffles lately! And they're getting a lot of mixed reactions. Some think her ruffled dresses are totally cute and others think they're over the top and weird. We think her latest one totally works.

We give Jessica Alba a lot of credit for stepping outside the box and getting fun with her fashion. She's been anything but boring lately! This week she's at the Venice Film Festival showing off her upcoming movie, Machete. And last night she attended the Uomo Vogue dinner for Quentin Tarantino.

She donned a dress from the Valentino Fall 2010 Couture collection and, despite a few flaws, we think she looked beautiful. The dress was grey and strapless, with a lemon organza skirt and flower appliques that gave it a major ruffly look. Definitely different, but super fun and fancy. She wore the dress with grey Valentino peep-toe pumps.

We don't think the dress fit Jessica perfectly and noticed it flaring at the end before getting to the skirt. We also hated that you can see the seam on the side. But really, we think the dress was pretty perfect for the Italian event and we'd so much rather see Jess in something like this fun Valentino than in a boring old ball gown.

Jessica Alba totally succeeded at looking young and hip, which is exactly what we want from a lady of 29. We're looking forward to seeing her outfits for the rest of the Venice Film Festival!
