Hey, when did Jessica Simpson get smart? She's featured in a pleasantly surprising interview in the new issue of Allure, revealing that she wants a man who's emotionally together. To the good people at Allure: who is this woman and what have you done with Jessica Simpson?

In the last week Jessica Simpson has been commanding the headlines after John Mayer's Playboy interview in which he referred to her as "sexual napalm" (we still have linguists on the case trying to figure out what the hell this means). We were proud of Jess when she responded to Mayer's comments with an unbothered "no comment," but now she's finally opening up on the latest with her love life.

She's still not denying the Billy Corgan rumors, as Jessica Simpson says her next husband will be the creative type: "I definitely will marry an artistic man. It will show you the colors of my character, the person that I fall in love with next." 

So when she's out sniffing for fellas, what does she look for? Back off, Jess says: "I don't have a physical type. I have an emotional type. When you have yourself together, I don't care what you look like at all. You can be tall; you can be short."
