Jessica Simpson Holds Out

Jessica Simpson is still waiting for her missing dog to be returned, according to reports, even though Miss Daisy was taken by a coyote in front of her eyes. Because 3 lb. maltipoos can definitely fight off wild dogs and survive the elements. The sad thing is, we'd probably be feeling the same way. . .

"Still holding out hope despite the a--holes that say is it a dumb thing to do. Daisy is my baby ... why would I stop searching? I'm a mom," Jessica said.

A special dog-finding service, FindToto.com, made calls to around 1,000 of Simpson's neighbors in the hope that someone had spotted something. Unfortunately, that was not the case, but Jessica also crafted a Lost Dog poster to spread the word, shown here at PEOPLE. We're assuming she did it herself, since we think she meant "caramel-colored dog." Eh, she gets a pass. We feel bad for her!

Jessica took just a little bit of time off her search to promote her sister's appearance on Melrose Place, but besides that, it sounds like she's been looking up a storm.
