Jessica Simpson to Judge 'Fashion Star'

Fashion Star is like Project Runway ... but with dancing?

Jessica Simpson wants to see the skeletons (or the flower-print muumuus) you're hiding in your closet. The singer and actress has signed on to play mentor in the upcoming reality series Fashion Star, which will also feature supermodel Elle MacPherson as host.

The new NBC reality show will reportedly feature Simpson offering guidance and expertise to contestants battling it out for a multimillion dollar contract to launch their own clothing brand.

The show, which NBC describes as a "true spectacle", will also feature live music and dancers with Aussie MacPherson (a.k.a."the Body") holding the microphone.

Say what you want about her acting and singing abilities, because Simpson has this self-marketing thing on lockdown. Along with her new reality show, Simpson has her own line of everything: jeans, handbags, shoes, hair and beauty products, and at least three different perfumes.

Because that's Jessica Simpson's smell of success, and contestants on Fashion Star want a whiff.
