Jim Carrey Bows Out Of "Dumb & Dumber" Sequel
Carrey reportedly frustrated with New Line and Warner Brothers' lack of enthusiasm for the project
In a move that's bound to infuriate fans, Jim Carrey is no longer set to star in the "true" sequel to 1994's comedy hit, Dumb & Dumber. (Remember, the "prequel", Dumb & Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, didn't feature any of the original headlining actors.)
Three months ago, director Peter Farrelly confirmed that both Carrey and Jeff Daniels would reprise their original roles of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne. Fans who looked forward to the new installment of the comedy classic were thrilled but now, it looks like their excitement was for naught, as there's no word on the future of the project.

According to ETOnline, Carrey was getting fed up with New Line and Warner Brothers, and their "lack of enthusiasm" for the film.
Do you think that the studios were right to not get excited about yet another warmed over re-hashing of an old hit? Or, could Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have made a go of it?
