Joan Jett Makes Kristen Stewart Cry on the Set of The Runaways
We've all seen Kristen Stewart and Joan Jett hanging out in similar outfits on the set of The Runaways. Since Kristen is playing Joan in the movie biopic, it seems natural that Kristen might need some coaching from Joan. So, why is Joan making Kristen cry?
Allegedly, Joan Jett was pushing Kristen Stewart to improve her performance and was giving her a hard time. Kristen ended up crying and Joan had to apologize.
According to a source, "Joan just wants Kristen to play an authentic version of herself, so she needled her a little bit too much. But she apologized when she realized how upset Kristen got."
We can imagine it must be extremely difficult to play a real-life person when that person is watching your every move! At one point, Kristen Stewart has talked about how difficult this is saying, "It's one of the most immense responsibilities to play a real person. Her story's important. It's an incredibly triumphant feminist story really."
Joan Jett obviously wants to be portrayed in a specific way, but we think she needs to let the talented Kristen Stewart work her own magic and we're kind of surprised the producers are even allowing Joan to observe the filming.
