John Edwards Encouraged Abortion For Rielle Hunter

There's an explosion this morning following the announcement that John Edwards made last week when he confessed to the world that indeed he is the father of former mistress Rielle Hunter's two-year-old daughter (link below). A tell-all written by former Edwards aide Andrew Young goes on sale January 30, and it reveals that Edwards wanted Rielle Hunter to terminate her pregnancy.

Andrew Young's book The Politician exposes former Democratic nominee for President John Edwards as a compulsive liar and serial cheater. The way he handled his affair with Rielle Hunter may be the most unappealing Edwards portrayal of all, as Young says Edwards referred to Rielle as a "crazy slut" and went off on an explosive cursing rant when he found out she was pregnant.

Edwards told Rielle Hunter to have an abortion to help cover up their affair, and he asked Andrew Young to try to convince her of the same. However Hunter carried out the pregnancy. Then Andrew Young stepped in to try to convince the press that he was the father of Hunter's baby in order to save Edwards' reputation.
