We don't know why we're even surprised by this. John Mayer has been pretty scummy lately, but he does usually go for girls that are a little bit classier. So, why does he have such a big crush on the newly single Heidi Montag? Yuck!

We're just surprised any guy would admit to being attracted to Heidi Montag. No part of her body is real! And the funny thing is, Heidi is the one who seems to be hesitant about dating John Mayer. You'd think she'd jump at the chance to date someone at that level of fame. And after marrying Spencer Pratt, can it really get any worse?

A source close to Heidi tells U.K.'s Reveal, "John has already started flirting and asking her out... She's flattered, but not yet convinced. He's very good-looking and charming, but his reputation is a bit of a turn-off. As soon as Heidi filed for divorce, John swooped in on her. He likes the Barbie doll, no-brains type of girl. But Heidi is still raw over her split with Spencer. At heart, she's a very conservative, old-fashioned girl from Colorado."

We think that whole act ended when she met Spencer and got about a billion plastic surgery procedures. And remember when Heidi openly talked about how many orgasms she had with Spencer Pratt? So it doesn't seem like she'd care if John Mayer over-shared about their sex life like he did with Jessica Simpson.
