John Travolta Turned Down 'Glee'
Stupid?
Glee producer Ryan Murphy just finished ranting over the fact that the Kings of Leon turned down his offer for their music to be covered on the show. So, I wonder how he's reacting to John Travolta's rejection. Personally, I think John's reasons for turning the opportunity down sound pretty lame.

Is John Travolta trying to tell us he's not as talented as we think he is? He's claiming he said no to appearing on Glee because he just wouldn't have enough time to prepare. Um, hello John, Britney Spears appeared on Glee. If she can do it, so can you!
But John is telling Entertainment Tonight, "They've asked... When I do musicals I train for six to nine months... and a show like that is an on-demand thing." And therefore, John said no. He continues, "I really have a criteria or a pride that I would wanna knock 'em dead, and I don't think I'd knock 'em dead in a week."
.
Does anyone else think John Travolta is taking himself way too seriously? It's not rocket science, honey. It's a guest spot on Glee! Lots of actors would kill for one. And any actor who's any good can deliver a few lines on a television show after a week's practice. A Broadway musical is a completely different ballgame! I mean, television show's have a thing called "takes" and if you mess up, it won't be live for the world to see!

I think it's fabulous that John Travolta cares so much about his craft, but I think he's just being silly here. There must be another reason he's not taking the gig. Perhaps he saw how Ryan Murphy reacted to the King's of Leon's "no" and is simply trying another approach. What do you think?
