Johnny Depp Doesn't Want His Kids to Be Actors
His biggest fear
When asked if they want their kids to act, most actors say they want their children to do whatever they desire. But Johnny Depp isn't afraid to come out and say having his children pursue acting careers is his greatest fear.
For now, it seems that Johnny Depp's kids aren't really thinking about the acting path, but they are quite entertained by him. I'm Not Obsessed reports that Johnny has said, "One thing is certain - neither of them will ever get bored. I always show them my various costumes and they love it. My children seem to take my job for granted. But I honestly hope that Lily-Rose and Jack don't want to become actors - that's my greatest fear!"
We can't imagine growing up with Johnny Depp and not wanting to go into the acting business, but maybe he'll try to persuade them otherwise. Lily-Rose and Jack are 7 and 10 respectively, which means they could start acting at any time. We wonder if daughter Lily-Rose has shown any interest yet.
Though Johnny Depp doesn't want his kids to go into acting, he does want them to be proud of him for what he does. He says, "I'm just an actor and not a hero. It doesn't make any sense to me that I should leave the world anything. To me only one thing is really important - I want my children to be proud of me!" We're sure they're very proud of him. But we think they'd be a lot more proud if he would continue starring in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Ahem. Or maybe that's just us.
