Avon wants Jon Bon Jovi dead or alive for their new fragrance. But considering no one wants to smell like a dead rockstar, they probably prefer him alive.

Avon, makers of fine feminine cosmetics and beauty products, has signed the 50-year-old Bon Jovi singer to an endorsement deal for its new Unplugged For Her and Unplugged For Him fragrances.

According to Avon, the scents are designed to translate the feeling a music-lover gets while listening to a live rock performance into a smell they can lather themselves in.

For men, that means smelling like woody floral musk, according to the Washington Post. The lady scent meanwhile is more of a floral oriental smell.

While Bon Jovi fans wait for their man's fragrance to hit shelves this November, I'm wondering how exactly a rockstar smells like flowers. I know Bon Jovi isn't exactly downing a bottle of booze and laying a dozen groupies before every show anymore, but he's still a man who's been around the block. And that has to wear on your B.O. after a few decades.
