Jon and Kate Gosselin's Marriage: Officially Over Soon
Jon and Kate Gosselin's weekend arbitration makes big progress.
We reported early Monday that Jon Gosselin brought estranged wife Kate Gosselin a bouquet of long-stemmed roses at their arbitration hearing Saturday morning in Pennsylvania. But the Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality duo aren't in any position to make amends. They're officially less than a month away from the finalization of their divorce...here's the latest.
It's reported Jon Gosselin's lawyer Mark Heller showed up to court nearly an hour late on Saturday, carrying shopping bags full of divorce documents (classy!). The judge was said to review the Gosselins' assets line by line, and he'll divide them completely by December 21.
This means the Gosselin marriage could be dissolved within the month -- but that doesn't cut Jon a break from court. Reportedly because of the lawsuit TLC is bringing against him for his breach of contract, Jon Gosselin will have court appearance obligations through the entire first half of 2010.
There's an update, by the way, on the roses. Kate Gosselin felt it was very much a publicity stunt to keep Jon in the public eye, and it's said she was "disgusted" by his actions. When you put it that way, Kate, we kind of are too...not as weirded out, however, as we were by last week's sex tape and cocaine claims.
