Jon and Kate Plus 8 Get Honest

Jon and Kate aren't holding back

Last night was the season 5 premiere of Jon and Kate Plus 8 and everyone was anticipating lots of tension between Jon and Kate. But I don't think anyone was expecting quite as much honesty as was offered during the show.

If last night's premiere holds any truth to what Jon and Kate Gosselin's lives are actually like, then it seems they don't see much of each other anymore. They were barely on-screen together and we wonder if they would have been together at al if it wasn't for the kids' birthday party. The reality show parents were brutally honest in this season opener. More than we expected.

Kate says, "Have I been hard on him over the last almost 10 years we've been married? Absolutely. I would never deny that... Have I pushed him to this? I don't think I have... This is very difficult; I have a lot of anger... He's made some very poor decisions, and you know, we all have to live with them." As always with Kate, everything is Jon's fault. And while Jon admitted he made some mistakes, he insists he didn't cheat on Kate.

America cried when one of the kids said, "Daddy, I don't want you to leave anymore," which also leads us to believe Daddy Gosselin isn't spending much time at home.

At one point, when everyone gets together for a family photo Kate says, "This could be our last family picture." She also notes that the divorce rate for parents with multiples is triple and that "I thought we could beat that. I don’t know if I can say that anymore. Very swiftly, we became very different people. It’s just hard. I tried six months to figure out what the problem is or remedy the problem. I don’t know. It’s so complicated. It’s just difficult."

We didn't realize Kate and Jon were so ready to admit how close to the end they are. Do you think a divorce is in their future?
