Joy Behar Wants Full Control Over Her Boyfriend

Will the view be as sunny on the marriage side of the street?

If you've ever watched The View, you've witnessed Joy's ranting and raving over how she'll never marry long time boyfriend, Steve. Truthfully, this little statement has always made me insanely happy. Not because I think marriage is bad, but because, although I've never met the man, I've felt strangely content knowing he's not locked down to Joy. Because really, being attached indefinitely to Joy Behar would be a cruel, cruel fate.

But, apparently, the 66- year-young co-host has changed her mind. And after 26 years of being boyfriend and girlfriend, she is ready to take the plunge.

The reason behind the knot tying? Joy thinks it's just plain practical. (Sigh) How romantic.

"Somebody that I know lost her partner. They were gay women. And the partner was in the hospital, and she had to pretend that she was her sister in order to really deal with stuff. I don’t want that to happen to us … and I also just feel that I want to," rambled Behar.
