Julian McMahon helps his mother in cancer fight
Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon is helping his mother recover from cancer, it has been revealed. Lady Sonia McMahon is recovering at her home in Sydney, Australia after having an operation to remove lymph glands from under her left arm two weeks ago.
She was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma in the same arm in July. Julian has been by her side as she recovers – and has brought his daughter Madison with him from their home in Los Angeles. Lady Sonia, 77, told Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper she was now on the mend. “As far as I’m concerned that’s it," she said. "It’s sorted.” Julian finished filming the latest series of Nip/Tuck earlier this year. He flew back to Australia, where he was born, on July 27, his 41st birthday. In Nip/Tuck, Julian plays the womanising plastic surgeon Christian Troy. He is divorced from nine-year-old Madison’s mother, actress Brooke Burns. His father is Sir William McMahon, former Prime Minister of Australia, who died in 1988.
