Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached a new low. Now tell me, what on Earth are you going to be doing with Justin Bieber's hair? Frame it? Sleep with it? Carry it in your purse? In any event, Bieber's hair just sold on eBay for more than $40,000.

It's been the talk of the pop culture for a year now. Justin Bieber's hair. And when he would cut it. Well, he finally took some scissors to his locks and got a major haircut. He lost some fans along the way, but what's a fan or two in the life of Justin Bieber?

And instead of sweeping up his hair and throwing it away, Bieber gave his locks to Ellen Degeneres who wanted to auction them off for charity. It was actually a great idea... You know there are some crazies out there who would pay top dollar for Bieber's hair!

Which is exactly what happened. The hair was sold on eBay for $40,668 and Ellen has decided to donate the proceeds to Gentle Barn, a charity that benefits local farm-animal rescue charity. And now some unidentified buyer is sitting at home with a pile of Justin's hair (I do wonder how it came packaged...).

Oh, and the winning buyer will also get to meet Justin Bieber the next time he appears on Ellen's show. So, maybe that's worth the $40K? Though wouldn't it be a bit creepy to meet the person who bought your locks of hair? Maybe that's just me.
