Justin Timberlake is a musician, actor and fashion designer. What's next? Executive producer of MTV's newest reality series, The Phone.
MTV's The Phone premieres tonight at 10PM ET/PT and will take four contestants through a game like they have never played before. Contestants will be called on their mobile phone and asked to accept a challenge where they will have to complete a number of risky "missions" to lead them to clues and hopefully to the $50,000 prize.
If you are like us, you are wondering how crazy these tasks are actually going to be. Well, the beginning of tonight's debut episode will reportedly show a female contestant accepting her challenge by pressing 1 on her phone, and then a car will immediately blow up. Very James Bond - intriguing.
Justin Timberlake said, "We take four people and put them through a game of hell basically. We make them characters in an action film. We constantly throw a curve ball."
Like so many reality shows, The Phone was inspired by a similar program in Holland. However, Justin says, " "I just thought it was a unique idea for a show...we wanted to figure out how to make it more interesting...and make these contestants feel like action movie stars."
So, are you still dreaming about picking up the phone and hearing Justin Timberlake's voice on the other end? Hmmm....
If The Phone doesn't sound like your kind of show, there is more of Justin to come. He will be hosting Saturday Night Live on May 9. Should be funny!
