Please. Be. Quiet.
.

Quite literally.

Oh Kanye. Why you so crazy? You see the limit, and then you fly right past it, rocketing straight towards nut-city.

The latest blast off? The rapper and, as of late, fashion designer would like to change his name to Martin Louis The King Jr. And lest you think this is some kind of insult to Dr. King, Kanye would like to assure you that it's not.

West was so moved upon seeing his Louis Vuitton shoes make their debut on the Paris runway, he felt compelled to make a name change.

Kanye posted the following on his blog after the runway show:

"I know I've been called the Louis Vuitton Don... I've been called a lot of names... Due to what happened, when the red shoes hit the runway, I was forced to change my name to Martin Louis The King, Jr. Address me as such."

Wha? When was he called the Louis Vuitton Don? Doesn't Marc Jacobs hold that title? And what does Kanye think happened exactly when his shoes hit the runway? Really, we'd like to know, because we missed it. Those monochromatic sneakers put us straight to sleep.

Maybe this is all a ploy to distract us from the sleepers (as we've taken to calling the bleh red kicks). And that's fine, and maybe even kind of smart. But we're taking a stand on this whole name change issue. MLK is taken. But Massively Over-Inflated Ego, Project Runway Wannabe, and Tragically Color Blind are all still available.
