Kara DioGuardi Found Out She Was Fired From Newspaper
From the newspapers!
I feel terrible for Kara DioGuardi, and you will, too--can you believe that nobody managed to get the message to her that she was fired before she discovered it on her own? The former American Idol judge admitted that someone dropped the ball on giving her notice.
"She read it the way you did and I did," her dad, Republican senate candidate Joe DioGuardi, told Capital Tonight. "Would you believe she did not hear -- and still has not heard -- anything?"

Even in Hollywood, that's surprising. Either Kara did something super wrong, or a rep/agent somewhere was afraid to tell her. Fox hasn't confirmed the news, but sources started buzzing about her being fired as early as July 30th.
We've also heard about multiple replacement options, like Jennifer Lopez, whose "demands were too great." We also heard that Steven Tyler told everyone that he was up for one of the open slots, and that J-Lo let her news leak too early. AI screws everyone, it seems, who takes or considers a judge position. Maybe people should stay away--and maybe Paula Abdul should've just been given a raise?
Adding a little more fire to the reports, Joe added "Her disappointment is that that's the way she's being treated and she feels that's not proper. I think they're trying to create a lot of buzz... they're trying to reformat the thing."
