Kara DioGuardi Officially Off 'American Idol'
We finally get a statement
We had already heard Kara DioGuardi was leaving American Idol, but with no official confirmation from her, things were a bit confused. Was she fired? Did she choose to leave? Well, we still don't have all the answers, but at least Kara has finally issued a statement!

In the past couple years, everything on American Idol has fallen apart. First Paula Abdul suddenly left the judging table. Then we learned Simon Cowell would be leaving the show, too. But we didn't expect yet another judge to be gone. But we got two more. First, Ellen Degeneres announced her departure after just one season. And now Kara DioGuardi is officially off the show.
We still don't know exactly why she left. She's making it sound like it was her own personal decision, but it could have been a forced decision due to salary negotiations.
Kara issued a public letter of resignation saying, "I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol... I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol - it has truly been an amazing experience. I am grateful to FOX, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, as well as the cast, crew and contestants, for all they have given to me. I look forward to my next challenge, and want to thank everyone who has supported me. All the best to everyone on Season 10!"
At least Kara does sound pretty positive about everything that happened. But one thing is for certain-- This season of American idol is going to be a huge change for all of its fans. And we have a feeling many of us won't be up for it. We were just getting used to Kara as a judge and now she's gone!

We wish we could get some answers about what really happened. We're still waiting on the official judge announcements for season 10. But right now we're hearing Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez will be sitting at the table.
