Kara DioGuardi Returning To Idol While Paula Holds Out

Kara DioGuardi has signed on for the new season of American Idol. DioGuardi - the so-called fourth judge – on the popular TV talent show, has reached an agreement on a new deal, according to US reports.

Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson have also signed new deals – meaning that just Paula Abdul is yet to confirm she will return to screens later this year. She has been locked in pay talks with producers 19 Entertainment and FreMantle Media. "Hi everyone," Abdul wrote on her Twitter webpage. "I've been quiet as we are trying to work out details of how I can return to Idol. "I will give you updates on how things are going, to the extent I can . . . “Whatever happens with 'Idol,' I love you guys and . . . I hope you understand I can only return to Idol if the deal is fair." Former pop star Abdul was reportedly holding out for money after complaining that her co-hosts were paid significantly more than her.
