Kate Beckinsale Gets a Noodle Namesake

Hey Kate, there's a steak with your name on it.

Hang on to your noodles, instant snack lovers.

There's only one way to know you've really made it in this world - get a microwaveable treat named after you. In that case, Kate Beckinsale seems to have it made. Pot Noodles, the British equivalent to Cup O' Noodles, has just released a Kate inspired flavor: "Steak & Beckinsale."

Apparently, Beckinsale was quoted at Elton John's Oscar party as saying all she wanted to do was go home and have a bowl of the popular instant noodles. Pot Noodles, like any company looking rabidly for good press, jumped on the chance to name a flavor in her honor.

Aside from the fact that Elton's party was so bad that Beckinsale would rather sit alone and bury her face in a bowl of junk food, this little ploy is kind of a weird compliment. I mean, the quality of meat they use in those things can't be higher than gristle grade. Hopefully K-Becks likes her steak cubes chewy.
